Through her diverse range of skills in the field of music, Ella O’Brien-Coker uniquely combines theory and practice. As a seasoned musician, singer, vocal teacher, and musicologist, she integrates her hands-on work with music with the knowledge she has gained from her own experiences as a music professional, from vocal training, the rehearsal room, and from the stage.

With the goal of integrating her expertise, community work, and a commitment to anti-discrimination, she is actively involved in cultural policy and changemanagement within the
music scene. And when all the thinking, organizing, and committee work gets to be too much, she also enjoys getting back to good old-fashioned concert production.
