+ Screening & Q&A

FEM*UP! is a community event as part of Black History Month that focuses on the appreciation, recognition and visibility of the African diaspora, particularly black artists in the music industry.

The event starts with a brave space workshop for artists, lovers and friends from the community. The workshop is an invitation into an open dialogue with the upcoming artist Trigger T to share and discuss experiences and perspectives of black artists in depth. As part of the workshop a live podcast by Bena from “Pottdenken” captures voices from the community and offers a safe space for the exchange of stories and experiences exclusively for black siblings.

After the workshop we will open the space to all interested parties for the screening of the documentary “ADIKORO – Women in Music Ghana”. Trigger T accompanies the screening and deepens the dialogue in an interview session together with the host Eleny.

FEM*UP! is an invitation to media representatives, culture lovers and anyone interested to learn more about the perspective of black female artists and to exchange ideas with each other.
